Marcia Conlon, R.N., B.S.N., I.B.C.L.C.

Owner/Director

Marcia has been working with babies and new families for 14 years, first as a Pediatric Nurse at Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit, as a neonatal intensive care nurse at Munson Medical Center, and as a La Leche League Leader for eight years. She has a BA from the University of Michigan and a nursing degree from Wayne State University. She has also worked as a professional birth assistant (doula), childbirth educator, and breastfeeding counselor. Marcia is a Board Certified Lactation Consultant (I.B.C.L.C.).

Marcia has three children: Jack (11), Casey (8), and Kelly (6). She also has an Angel Baby, Brent, who would be 13 this year.

Heather Jaworski, C.D.

Childbirth Educator and Birth and Postpartum Doula

Heather has a Bachelor's of Arts and Master's of Arts degrees in Education including special ed and elementary ed. She is a professional birth doula with DONA (Doula's of North America) and also a postpartum doula. She provides physical and emotional support for couples during labor. Heather grew up in Traverse City and is married with four children: Isabel (7), Amelia (5), Preston (3), and Oliver (1).

Ann Schmittling, CNM

Advisor and Friend

Annie is a graduate of the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing, affiliated with Case Western Reserve University. She was an Obstetrical nurse for over ten years prior to her midwifery training. She sees nurse midwifery as a chance to participate in the childbirth experience and enhance a woman's health care through all phases of her life. Ann is married and has three grown children, and the very proud Grandma to two!
